Transformation Lab now open!

The Oakland Museum of California invites you to join us in the new Transformation Lab on Level 1, where we’re testing fun hands-on elements and learning tools for the new galleries. Drop by during these dates and times:

Overview

Our vision for the future begins with a new Oakland Museum of California, expanded and enhanced to better fulfill our mission: sharing California's stories.

Phase I now under construction: Art Gallery, History Gallery, Oak Street Entry and Stair Canopies, scheduled completion spring 2010.

Slated for Phase II construction, 2010-2012: Natural Sciences Gallery, Education spaces, and store. For a full timeline, click here.

Please Note: The Museum will close to the public from August 24, 2009 to spring 2010 to complete Phase I. Keep checking this site for updates throughout the closure.
