There are thousands of artifacts in the museum, and anyone can see them and guess what they might mean. But they could be wrong! To me, these artifacts are like old friends with secrets that I share through stories. No matter when they live, people love what they live with, what they leave behind. I want people to think about how we will feel about what we leave behind for others to interpret.
The thing I enjoy most is when children come—the look of surprise and happiness when they recognize an object. They want to know “How did you get that? What does it mean?” I love that.
